"Resources" are the documents that the instructor can add to a course as teaching materials, primarily of a theoretical nature. They can be textual, audiovisual, interactive, or mixed materials, which may include some type of assessable activity.
Each type of resource is identified by an icon:

- The file is a document you need to click on to download. The specific format might also have a unique icon. A file can be any type of document: Office files (.doc, .docx, .xls, etc.), PDF, zip, image, video, or a "support" file, such as an HTML page that can have embedded images.
- The folder is a collection of these same documents.
- The label is generally information that appears directly on the screen. It can be a simple note or text, with included links or an audiovisual file shown directly on the screen.
- The page is similar to the above, but you'll have to click on it to access it. It's generally used for a longer text.
- The book is made up of HTML pages for reading on-screen, linked by a side menu. Its content can be textual or audiovisual and contain links.
- The URL is an external link you'll have to click on to access, and it can be a website, a document, an audiovisual file, and so on.
When content is added or modified, the instructor can notify students.
