Activities are tools that allow instructors to assess students' knowledge, such as assignments, exercises, tests, surveys, etc. They normally contain tasks, questions, or work assignments, although some are mixed and can have both theoretical and practical content. Others are not assessable and are used for interaction among students or with instructors. Most can be graded, at the instructor's discretion, although some cannot; they are simply instruments for work, communication, or consultation.
There are many types of activities, but the most important are:
ASSIGNMENTS
The most common activity that an instructor may ask you: submit an assignment or a practical task. The instructor can choose the submission method, which can be either uploading a document or writing directly on the platform. Additionally, the instructor can set requirements such as: the number of files to be submitted, whether late submissions are allowed, the maximum file size, the time limit for submission, etc., as well as the grading method.

TURNITIN

It's possible that the instructor may require you to submit your assignments through Turnitin.
Turnitin is a type of assignment that involves checking for potential plagiarism in your work. Remember to properly cite the source every time you extract information from other documents, whether it's a direct quote (in quotation marks) or by rephrasing someone else's ideas in your own words. If you have any questions about how to cite sources, consult the Library or our guide on bibliographic citations (spanish).
QUIZ
Instructors can also assess students using multiple-choice quizzes. They can create different types of questions, which can be fixed or randomized. The quiz may have a time limit to be completed (you'll see a timer), a minimum passing grade, and multiple attempts with or without a penalty.
An exam can be set up as a task to be completed on the spot or as a quiz.
Be sure to carefully read the instructions that the instructor provides in the description of each activity.
Once your assignments have been graded, you'll be able to see your score in the course's top menu.

Keep in mind that the professor decides when to make grades public.
Each student only sees their own grades.
